Hypnotic Eyes

I had just walked over to ask the hotel clerk a simple question, but as I looked at her, I was becoming disorientated and having a hard time remembering what I was standing there for. I was trying not to stare, not to be rude. But I just couldn’t help myself. I was staring into her eyes and stumbling over some words that didn’t make any sense. I was gripped by those eyes. Even as somewhere in what remained of my conscious mind I realized I was staring, I couldn’t stop. I felt a little dizzy.

I’m sure at that moment she could have told me “You are a dog, bark.” She had me hypnotized. Finally, she let me come back to consciousness. I said, “I’m sorry. I guess I was staring.” She said “Yeah, I could see you zoning out. Don’t worry about it. It happens all the time.”

She had some medical explanation about those eyes. I was still only semi-conscious. All of the other hotel employees were watching us.

The next day I saw her again and asked if I could take a picture of her eyes. She said of course, no problem. I almost went under again, just trying to get a good picture.

Let’s try an experiment. Let’s be the first ones to do hypnosis over the Internet! Let’s get started.

Lost in the Mountains

“Don’t slip and fall from there, that is death,” I quickly pointed out to my son as I moved across a high-angle snowy patch on the mountain.  A slip would launch us off of the rocky cliffs and into the boulders below.  We had gotten ourselves into a bit more adventure...
